This question deserves to be asked without preconceptions. Experience shows that the value of a monitoring solution is not measured by its technical complexity, but by its ability to provide actionable information at the right time.

Let's consider two concrete cases where simplicity is often more effective than sophistication:
Detecting Disk Failures
Windows technical documentation indicates that Event ID 7 ("The device has a bad block") is a clear signal of hard drive degradation. When this event occurs repeatedly, the probability of an imminent failure is very high.
